the swing voters want. they want to hear not just why obama's failed but what exactly mitt romney would do as president. he didn't do that in his connection speech. the other thing that's odd about romney's campaign right now is he has a upside down favorability. more voters are saying they have an unfavorable view of him than a favorable one. he's got to find a way to fix that. and frankly debates are not traditionally a great form to do that. debates have helped candidates like ronald reagan in 1980, or even barack obama in 2008. when the question was, is this new guy up to the job? people think romney's up to the job, they just have this other set of questions about him. so he's got to do something about likability. not easy to do. finally, he needs to get past this comment he made that obama has just been hammering on him. hammering him on. the fact that, you know -- >> 47%? >> 47% of the electorate is dependent on government, won't vote for him. he needs to find a way to explain that and get past it. t
